Sean Calhoun, Sr., is not only God’s man; he’s a man’s man!
He has an awesome prison ministry and created an 8-week program for those incarcerated called, “Real Talk Men’s Advancement Class”. He teaches to standing-room-only audiences in the prison, which leaves not only the incarcerated in awe but also the staff. He lives his life to empower men to become better fathers, husbands, and productive members of society. While serving nearly 5 years in a federal penitentiary at the age of 19 for gun and drug possession charges, he gave his life over to the Lord and has been preaching the gospel ever since.
Pastor Calhoun is not only a pastor to the church but also desires to be the pastor of the community. He wants to help others see that, through the redemptive power of the Holy Spirit, they, too, can show the world what redemption looks like!
He is an ordained Elder in the Church of God in Christ. Under Bishop Brandon B. Porter's leadership, he serves as the jurisdictional chairman of the TN Central Pastor’s & Elders Council and as the regional chairman of the national General Council of Pastors & Elders for the national Churches of God in Christ.
He is married to La’Kesha Ford Calhoun with whom he has three children, one daughter-in-love, and two grandsons.
